"The chuck wagon was a cowboy's home away from home.  Like any home, what little time was available for relaxation, was often spent around food and conversation. The cook's work was never done. He was the first to rise in the morning and the last to call it a day.  Cowboys paid high regard to "Cookie" and his kitchen."
